Crescent Academy is seeking a flexible, supportive, friendly part-time Latchkey Aide! 

$15 hourly Monday - Friday

Schedule: 6:00am to 8:15am

Crescent Academy is a school district that serves over 700 students in grade level PreK-9th.

Summary:

We are seeking a reliable Latchkey to join our team to provide supervision and support for students before school hours. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, and committed to fostering a supportive atmosphere for children.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise students during latchkey hours before school, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules to maintain a respectful and orderly environment.

• Assist students with homework and schoolwork, providing support and guidance as needed.

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding student behavior and any relevant issues.

• Manage conflicts and resolve issues in a calm and constructive manner, fostering a positive atmosphere.

• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the latchkey program space.

• Attend training sessions and staff meetings as necessary to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the position.

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in child development, education, or related fields is a plus.

• Previous experience working with children in an educational or caregiving setting preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to children and their families.

• Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and maintain a positive attitude.
